2018 Ashe County Fresco Church Tour

Rooted Altar Ministries went on a road trip on November 10 to West Jefferson to visit three churches with Fresco Paintings. We visited St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in West Jefferson and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Glendale Springs. We also visited St. Paul's Episcopal Church where Benjamin F. Long, IV, painted two frescoes depicting the story of St. Paul. The paintings were breath taking. The life size paints depict several Biblical stories such as Paul on the road to Damascus, the Last Supper and the Crucifixion. The hospitality presented at the churches was awesome! We felt God's presence.
